because we aren't immigrants. Yes, our ancestors were immigrants. But not immigrants to USA. When the people came over, this hadn't been established as America, with laws and regulations. There isn't really such a thing as a "native american", Yes, there were Natives who lived here, but not Native Americans, for the fact America wasn't established at that point and time.
Playing the card that we are immigrants, isn't right. It's the same as a black person today, playing the card about being "African-American", which isn't right either.
But I will second the fact, if Americans wont work, and some aliens come to do, let em work.

What fired me up about all this.

The lady talked about how hard her Illegal boyfriend worked, because Americans were to lazy to do what he does.
Well at the same time.
They are living so good. They also are receiving foodstamps, medicare, and free housing.
So what part of that would not upset many.
I work also and my taxes are going to keep this up? A person to come here. Be illegal, not pay taxes, nor for health care, but to earn money to live better than they were and to send money back to support anohter economy.
Now if that is the way it should be. Then i missed the boat somewhere.

And one other thing. Maybe we as Americans need to check ourself.
See if we are not becoming lazy.
When we talk sports, people get mad when we say this, these kids are just lazy, but look how many is saying it now. Kids are what grow up to make your society.
So everyone who is agreeing with Americans are to sorry. We'll don't get upset when on the sports forum, this is said about our youth.

And to superx i wasn't trying to be a smart aleck. I'm asking question for you guys futures. You guys and those following are the generations, my generation and others will have to rely on.

What you do today or don't do. Impact others for years to come. If we sell out our economy now, you guys futures won't look to good.

I agree to an extent, however just because the place wasn't established does not negate the fact there were many many many tribes already here that were murdered our ancestors (our due to my being a half breed, my father's side were immigrants, however my mother is full blooded native american). They were here and they had established their own communities, they had their own laws they abided by. What did they need to do to make it "established"?

I agree completely. The major American companies these days have about as much to do with America as the Asians and Latinos working in their factories for a few cents an hour. They outsource to save money on labor, yet they are essentially shooting themselves in the foot. Take Nike, as an example. Nike has all their stuff made in China, Taiwan, all these places. They probably save millions in employee wages every year. But where does Nike sell most of its products? If this outsourcing spreads to the point where it blankets our whole economy, Americans are not going to have money to buy American goods because they won't have good enough jobs to keep up with the times. By outsourcing labor, the economy could reach the point where there is no demand for industrial goods due to most Americans just struggling to make rent and the grocery bill.

Just like bringing in Mexican to work in the coal mines. How many coal miners gonna put up with an Illegal, and i say the word Illegal immigrant working their job for $7 or 8 bucks an hour, compared to most who make $15 or $18 dollars an hour. If not more.

not gonna happen. They take cheap paying jobs that most don't want because they pay minimal wage already. You dont' think some illegal comes in and takes away a $15 an hour job it isn't gonna get reported?

I agree with you on taking care of Americans. We see all these pictures on TV about the starving children in Africa or the middle east, or China, but what about the ones whose only meals come from breakfast and lunch at school? Or what about the homeless ppl that we have that dig through trash cans to find scraps to eat? We are so interested in taking care of the rest of the world that we have forgotten about our own. Just thinking about some child in America, be they citizens or illegals, to know that they are hungry when we all have SO much, makes me physically sick.

I don't think that there is an easy solution to the problem of immigration and I think that it is going to be far worse before it starts to get better. When we finally elect people who are willing to work, instead of giving themselves raises, then we might have something to start with. We need people who have strong characters and know what WORK ETHIC actually means.
